Appearance:5’6” tall Retsuko appears somewhat standard for a physically fit Japanese Schoolgirl. Her frame is slight and one of a runner, muscled and lean with movements that are laced with a cat's grace. Each movement she makes seems filled with purpose and often seems much slower than they are because of it. In general it seems very hard for her to relax, to not sit up straight or sit down at all, she seems very tightly wound.

Her hair is a sleek black, reaching past her shoulders to her lower back, in a rough hime cut at the front and is normally left quite loose or only slightly tied back. Eyes are sharp and can be somewhat piercing, a reddish brown that seems unnaturally good at catching the light in the dark. Those eyes give her a quite a serious look most of the time and are not eased by a small mouth and lips that are ill suited to smiles. Mixed with her movements she can seem very cold and detached, marginally distant from a natural human reaction to be defined as slightly odd. Not to say that she seems alien, more that she strikes most people as a little weird even at a glance, not really enough to arouse suspicion.

Her skin is blemishless, free of any sort of scar or mark, freckle or wrinkle. Unremarkable to the touch, it still strikes those that get close enough to look at all of the impression that not everything normal about her if they consider such things. While nudity does not cow her she does instinctively cover herself to try and prevent others noticing her.

Clothing is all about practicality for what it is designed for. Not that she is above wearing a ballgown for example, as long as it serves its purpose in the context used. So to appear attractive for whatever reason she needs to do so. In general though she likes clothes that allow her to move as much as possible, covering her torso but maybe exposing her legs.

Personality:
Retsuko Tachibana awoke without her memories, they had no idea who she was or what had happened to her. She was even in the local papers but there was no answer by anyone that seemed to know her. It was odd to be sure but in this day and age odd things seemed to be happening more and more. Since that day, not having her own history she feels entirely out of place in almost every situation. That she might have been here before, known a person, a flavour, a smell. In part this and likely in part to whatever happened to her before she is rather odd compared to normal human behaviour. Nothing drastic but enough that she doesn’t always get along the best with other people.

She is a quiet person who does not seek out friends but is quite kind and courteous to those around her. The fact that she had a life she can’t remember puts further strains on trying to make any friends since she feels like she is betraying whoever she was friends with before this. So she is quite passive but normally happy to get involved with just about anything. She does have a small group of friends but even they agree is rather an oddball. Most basic human mannerisms she has down but humor often escapes her, as does romance and that she can still be quite selfish. The idea of sharing something such as a food doesn’t occur to her with prompting, even if the other person says they are hungry. Yet she will happily share if actually asked.

Her hobbies are mostly physical, she is in the track team at school and finds walking extremely relaxing. Astronomy is also an activity that she is drawn to, mixing into several long nighttime walks each week. She also keeps a diary so as not to risk losing her memory again and carries it everywhere with her.

The quickest way to upset her is to push her about her past, something that is on her mind almost constantly even after three years. It is fairly easy to see the topic makes her uncomfortable and she is likely to just leave the situation if it persists. She hasn’t resorted to violence since leaving the hospital. She occasionally goes to a local Judo Dojo but it doesn’t really come across as very violent to her, it’s just some friendly fun.

The family she has now is both dear to her, kind and distant. Like with her friends she longs for whatever her family was like before, despite knowing nothing at all about them.

History:

The girl awoke back in Japan, doctors all around and hooked up to IVs. Her body was weak, barely able to lift itself at first. There were no visible wounds to the outside, they were all internal. There were lots of tests and she was told that they knew absolutely nothing about her, she had no ID and no one appeared to be looking for her. What she could do was read and speak multiple languages, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, English and French. They gave her quite a lot to read and later watch about the world. Still she did not remember anything at all of what her life was before. She was somewhat distraught over the matter but with no answers and without anyone to really turn to, it passed. When it became clear that her own name would not come back to her she was encouraged to choose one, so she did. Retsuko because she felt an attachment to it, Tachibana for the same reason, it also sounded nice.

After two weeks a man that called himself Donovan came to visit and brought her news of something rather entirely different. She had read about what had happened in the 1940s, about magic being in the world. About fairies, vampires, werewolves, demons, spirits and things that went bump in the night. They were real, so most people said, yet still no one really knew a huge amount about them. It was entirely possible she was attacked by one of them, that was why she had lost her memory. It had even crossed her mind that she was one of those monsters, he reassured her of that much at least and offered her more of an explanation than anyone else. He gave her more details of what magic was, and that she was entirely incapable of it. Likewise they had tested all of her blood and there was no sign of any of the traces that would show her as any of the other creatures. No rather than all of that she could not be further than those creatures, she was immune to magic, both positive and negative.

Other than that, he said she was totally normal. That it was still a mystery who she was and what had happened. He asked if one day, since she was somewhat of an oddity, if she would be interested in working for him. Leaving her a calling card and saying his goodbyes. It did seem somewhat odd that he even came to her, yet maybe that was why she hadn’t been let outside yet? They were worried about her and he had put that to rest, the staff around her did seem friendlier after that at least. Two days after that she was told they had found her a foster family if she wanted to meet them, at least until her memories returned.

The father was Shun Minofuri he was Japanese and had an office job, his wife was Victoria. She was German and worked as a translator and they had a daughter a few years older than they thought Retsuko was named Hitomi.

First week

Once she was somewhat settled going to school was the next logical step. Some stuff she knew but others were missing,
