Appearance: Large is a good word to describe Nilvas when he is compared to others, but it is slightly lacking. He stands at 6 feet and 8 inches, around 2 meters, with a large broad shoulders and incredible mussel density. His hands are large enough to cover a fully grown man’s face and his body seems more like a rock then being made of mussel. His brown hair is well kept, and feeds into his mustache and beard, both of which are also well kept. His sideburns have slight graying hair, a common trait in his family.

His face generally has a stern look, and is not very expressive, rather having slight twitches and shifts that are barely noticeable to the less attentive sort. He generally dresses in a black Light Armor-weave Shirt embossed with a giant cross, and gray Light Armor-weave Pants. He generally wears a giant belt, which has an incredibly large buckle that also has a giant cross upon it. Finally, he commonly wears a white jacket, and when not having his arms through the sleeves he lets rest on his shoulders.

His arms have multiple scars, remnants of his training, and if one where to view him without his clothing they would realize that these scars are present all over his body, and range from obvious gun wound scars, stab wound scars, gash scars, and the like. You can often see bandages wrapped around his leg or arms in addition to his armor, whether to hide the scars or simply tie his clothing closer to his body or even just because it’s a habit common with martial artists.

Personality: One word, if there is one word that would truly describe Nilvas, it is Righteous, anger at injustice, disgust at abuse of power, hate for those that allow evil to remain in the world, he feel all those things at a level normal people do not. And for these reasons he fights.

However, despite this he is a very controlled person, having incredibly patience and capable of great understanding. His believes in the goodness in people’s hearts, so he is not above forgiving people for their sins, for their Lord did so, why should he not do the same.

Truly, while he might not seem it, he is a kind man. He always aims to help those that truly require it, almost always willing to turn the other cheek, and cares greatly for lives of others, particularly those that try and live their lives in a good way.

But again, he is Righteous at his core, and despite all of this should he view ones crimes as to great, should his anger grow to great at injustice, his disgust boil at corruption, and hate for evil will grow to great, he will never hesitate to strike them down and deliver Justice, the goal of all those that follow the “Darting Heavenly Fist.”

An important thing to note is that he is a very upfront person, and because of this he dislikes those that rely on deceit, such as the Judas Order. He is very unlikely to obey the order of such individuals who are of the same church rank as him, unless he was told by a higher ranked member.

Perhaps one of the most interesting parts of his personality is his opinion of the apostles. While he generally treats them with respect, as is the norm within the church, but his actual opinion of them is far from that. He views them as spoiled children, for lack of a better phrase to describe it. They are treated with respect simply for the Stigmata present on their body, and while he does not deny they are blessed by god it does not mean they should be treated as they are without proving themselves. They are given great power, the ability to use a holy relic, simply due to this Stigmata, while others, people just as, if not more, dedicated to the church and the Lords mission, have obtained their great power though their sweat, blood, and dedication.

History: Born and raised in north eastern Spain, Nilvas was different, that much was certain from a young age. He grew bigger and faster than other children his age, however he did not do what many children would do with that greater size, instead he simply lived his days quietly, helping his father, a carpenter, every day. However, one day his father died, and he was taken to a church run orphanage.

It was there where he met his to be mentor, a Grandmaster of the “Heavenly Darting Fist”. It was not an eventful meeting; there were no odd circumstances, nothing really noteworthy about the meeting at all. He simply came to the orphanage to try and find new recruits. At first the man confused Nilvas for a volunteer due to his size, but after speaking with him he realized something about the boy in front of him. And upon realizing that he gave the boy an offer, “Would you like to come with me, and become one who upholds the Lord’s Justice?”

Nilvas then politely refused and walked away.

They would not meet until a year later, at the funeral of one of the sisters of the orphanage, who was killed by in a mugging. This man arrived and walked up to Nilvas, and gave him a pat on his back. “Makes you angry, right? You want to stop this kind of thing, right? I know that feeling. I could see it in your eyes the first time we met. That sense of Righteousness. I’m the same.”

It was then Nilvas looked up at the man, and unlike that time a year ago he agreed to become an agent of the Lord’s Justice.

It was then his training began, but because of how late he started he did not complete the intensive training of the Heavenly Darting Fist, and the training for his Action Trigger, until recently. However, despite this he is ready to serve the lord and uphold his Justice.

Description: A pair of consecrated handguard with knuckles in which is used in conjunction with his fighting style. The weapons themselves allow for him to impart blasts of ki energy which is infused with the consecrated nature of the handguards with every strike, increasing his combat potential, while also allowing for a last minute defense due to their hardness.


Name: Light Armor-weave Shirt and Pants

Description: Nilvas has forsaken the usage of normal body armor used by the church, and has instead chosen to wear this specially designed set of shirt and pants which focus on giving him his full degree of movement, in order to never restrict the movements of his fighting style. While these offer slightly less protection then the standard body armor, it is substantially lighter and less noticeable. Embossed on the chest is a massive cross, obviously displaying that it is an equipment of the church. Capable of repelling small arms fire, but against higher calibers it offers much more limited defense.

Description: Basic radio assigned to each unit to communicate with the administration and control of the operation. Typically it is designed as a wireless earpiece receiver and microphone combination, but often lower ranking members end up with older generation equipment such as ones that rely on hip-mounted controls and batteries. These radios work off of a variety of radio channels used by the Church, but are able to pick up other channels perfectly fine. Ideally they can pick up transmissions from about 30km around in an urban environment; but in a clear area they can pick up transmissions at a range of around 40km.

Description: Nilvas wears standard black vestments with a golden cross when he is reporting to officials or meeting other in a formal setting, generally wearing his Light-Armor Weave clothing underneath it. However, when acting on missions he generally wears much simpler clothing

Name: Melee Combat Style: Darting Heavenly Fists
Description: The Special Combat Style of Nilvas. It melded with the church out of its own will and has a few other names it is known by practitioners or members of the church, such as “Fists of Heaven’s Justice” and “Style of Righteousness” due to the mindset of the practitioners viewing themselves as enforcers of God’s Justice. It is a specialized form of combat focused on rapid evasion and quick and devastating strikes in the form of punches infused with ki. It focuses on a mix of uppercuts, jabs, hooks, straights, all the while navigating around the foe with ducking, swaying, and rotations, showing its dependence on good footwork. In some case strikes can be made while rotating in order to serve as a powerful counter, which add the spinning movement of evasion to the strike. It forgoes the usage of the legs in striking completely, and is at its strongest when both feel are firmly upon the ground. Its greatest strength, due to its absence of weapons and arms, is its ability to chain together specific techniques. It has three major types of Technique, Movement, Strike, and Finish, which can be chained together into a combo; however Nilvas only has access to the most basic one. Because of its nature of chaining, meaning techniques are less effective when used independently, the costs of techniques is generally low for the rank, however there can be exceptions.

Darting and swerving is the movement of the Darting Heavenly Fists. To move as water that flows though the gaps without hesitation, moving as fire they dance around their target as close as a lover, as the earth they are precise and secure remaining stalwart as they move. This is the principle of movement within the Darting Heavenly Fists style.

To break but not destroy is the strike of the Darting Heavenly Fists. To strike as lightning fast and mighty with awe inspiring power, to dance as wind free and uncatchable with invisible grace, to shine as the light and be a ray of hope shining though the encroaching dark. This is the principle of the striking within the Darting Heavenly Fists style

When together these are the two of the principles of the Darting Heavenly Fists style. To defeat ones foe, to preserve righteousness, and carry out the justice of the lord is the purpose of the Darting Heavenly Fist style.

Name: Martial Arts Literacy
Description: The understanding of martial techniques and tactics from drawing upon prior experience in combat and training that has been ingrained in the body. It allows a martial artist to analyze and comprehend the mechanics of other martial arts. This does not mean they can effectively counter the technique/tactic right away. At most it should be seen as a means to better deal against them.

Name: Shadowed Step
Description: : His combat style shares many of the weakness of modern boxing, as both are style depended on the fists for striking so have a powerful emphases on proper footwork. Because of this Nilvas has trained himself to disguise the movements of his legs and feet, making it more difficult for people to predict his movements, as if his footwork can be read perfectly, then his combat style becomes that much easier to defeat.

Abilities:

Name: Action Trigger
Description: Having trained himself extensively in the art of combat utilizing only his fists, even against those that utilize various weaponry, he has developed this ability though grueling training and conditioning, something that would be more akin to willing scaring his mind and body rather than ‘training’ in the traditional sense. It is something that has become more of a natural reflex then anything, having been ingrained so heavily into his body and mind. It causes him, upon experiencing stimuli, to instantly respond without the need of thought, as if it was a natural reflex. For example, if a hand is put upon a sheathed sword’s hilt, his hand will immediately move over the hand to prevent drawing, or if a gun is aimed at him he will immediately duck or swerve out of their line of fire and advance at the one pointing it. Even specific sounds, touch responses, smells, and in some cases tastes can trigger this response. This reaction takes into all things seen, even small movements of the body and angle of attack, so even in cases where the manner of attack is the same the response might be different. However, due to its nature as an involuntary movement, knowledge of this and analysis of actions can easily allow for the development of counters, and if there is a type of situation in which the church could not replicate within its organization, then this ability will fail to trigger to such a situation.

Name: Stillness of Mind, Trueness of Will
Description: Mastery of the body requires mastery of the mind and a honing of ones will to become an instrument in of their selves, and so Nilvas has trained much to develop such a thing. Nilvas is capable of calming his mind, allowing not for detachment, but an impressive degree of control over his emotions and the ability to block out pain. In addition, as his focus upon a goal increases, in other words his will to complete the action increases, it becomes more true and full, he becomes more resistant to mind altering effects to a cap. Finally this allows him to forcibly ‘turn off’ Action Trigger, repressing all of his natural reflexes, even those not directly liked to Action Trigger, such as putting his hands out if falling.

Name: Faith
Description: The point where one's Faith can be realized through the Church's Sacraments, Rites, and other means of combating the supernatural through the Church's way. While not exactly mirroring a member's actual "faith", it is a quality that gives them power that can be harnessed. This is required for every member of the Church in order to use Sacraments/Rites or even Holy Relics. Nilvas truly and absolutely believes in god, and in the sacrifice of their Savior. However, this does not mean he cares much for Scripture, he finds it is elevated, as he feels it while scripture might be followed the messages within it are sometimes overlooked or ignored.

Name: Heavenly Swerving Evasion
Description: Darting and swerving is the movement of the Darting Heavenly Fists. This Technique allows Nilvas to dance around an oncoming attack, moving smoothly around it, and entering the blind spot of his enemy, and from there delivering a series of normal, all within one smooth, and seemingly effortless, movement. It can be chained into or after a ‘Strike’ type techniques of the Darting Heavenly Fists style which replace the flurry of blows this technique normally launches.

Name: Heavenly Breaking Disablement
Description: To break but not destroy is the strike of the Darting Heavenly Fists. This Technique allows for Nilvas to unleash a flurry of powerful blows, around four, to his target, each blow strikes a point of the body seeking to disrupt the movements of the target and break through any defense they have in a significant way, such as locking movement of a leg or arm by breaking a bone, striking a pressure point, or damaging a mussel. It can be chained into a ‘Finish’ type technique of the Darting Heavenly Fists style which occurs immediately after the disabling of the target, but only in the case if this technique followed a ‘movement’ type.

Name: Heavenly Bursting Straight
Description: To defeat ones foe, to preserve righteousness, and carry out the justice of the lord is the purpose of the Darting Heavenly Fist. This is a ‘Finishing’ type technique of Nilvas, and so is a technique which can only follow a ‘Strike’ type attack that is within a chain with a ‘Movement’ type technique. When preformed, Nilvas launches a straight punch at the target, which collides and releases holy energy into the target from his consecrated handguards.
