Appearance:
Caelestis is a rather human looking "monster", and he thanks whatever entity created him that he is so; Quite frequently, at least in his head. He appears as a quite standard looking, if a bit lithe, male, standing at about 6'0 and weighing in at roughly 167 lbs. Bright blonde hair and sky blue eyes adorn him, with a pale complexion that makes it look like he gets quite a bit less sun than he actually does. Not terribly muscular or large as far as men go, he comes across as quite average as far as measurements go. No wild colored neon hair or grossly exaggerated features that one would suspect from his race. He does possess the standard set of Cubi features, though he prefers to keep them hidden whenever possible. He has a tiny set of horns, no longer than an inch or two that just from the top of his forehead, but these are often obscured by his hair. Even if they weren't, he generally uses some magecraft to keep them hidden. A set of wings adorn his back but he often calls them antiques due to how infrequently he uses them, keeping them hidden underneath his clothes or similarly cloaked via magecraft.
As far as his clothes go, Cael usually tries to keep a very proper appearance. He more often than not wears glasses, not because his eyesight is bad but because he thinks they help him blend in better. Taking it a step further he often wears pretty covering clothes, almost Victorian in their appearance. His preferred outfit consists of a white dress short covered by an olive green vest, often with a tie, bowtie, or handkerchief as an accessory at his collar. A black and grey coat is kept for when the weather grows cold or for more formal occasions, but is often kept draped over his shoulders if not actively in use. He also usually wears gloves these days: A habit he's only recently picked up, to make sure he never accidentally sucks the life out of people.
Personality:
True Neutral: Cael is a quiet, usually very kind person, but this is not to be mistaken for charitable. While he considers himself a good person and probably would be considered at least "normally good" by society as a whole, he doesn't usually go out of his way to help others unless there is some benefit to him, or he has some attachment to the person whom needs help. He's not particularly the hero type, but isn't unwilling to help those he's close to. Not a particularly malicious person even to those he dislikes, but can be a passive aggressive little shit when he wants to be.
Fantastic Racism: Specifically against Vampires. One of the only things Cael has a natural disdain for. Considers them walking corpses, with little to no worth as living beings. Also complains that they smell/"feel" particularly morbid and appalling, and so usually refrains from any interactions with them if at all possible. The House of Tepes is the only one he will tolerate, and even then only on rare occasions. On the other hand, he's often the victim of this: People usually here "Incubus" and think "this guy wants to sleep with me", so often keeps this bit to himself unless directly relevant or exposed. Doesn't actively hide it so much as doesn't mention it. He becomes quite offended when people stereotype him because of it: Though in many ways it's not entirely accurate. "I may in fact be a slut, but it's racist to assume I'm one because I'm an Incubus."
Gentleman and a Scholar: Cael strives to be this, with some success. He acts very proper, overly so sometimes, although it often comes off as simply quiet or subdued. He is a soft speaker whom almost never raises his voice, and appreciates the value of research and knowledge. If Cael had his way, he'd be purely a scholar, but unfortunately when his Incubi hunger rears it's head he has an incredibly difficult time keeping this going. While he's still very soft spoken even at his hungriest he has been known to become much more aggressive and straight forward. As such, it is during these times he often falls into Horny Devil territory, much to his own chagrin.
Really Gets Around: Cael travels around a lot. But then, you know as well as I do that's not what this trope means. Both connotations however are true. Or at least, used to be. Cael was known for floating from one relationship to the next, usually because he scared himself out of anything serious ever insisting he'd end up wounding his partner. Incubi are not known for being pleasant partners after all. He's only ever had one extremely serious relationship before the one he is currently in, and was extremely emotionally wounded at it's termination. After that, flitting by from one night stand to the next became a habit for him, changing towns and regions as quickly as he changed partners. It wasn't long until he found himself a "model Incubi" something he regrets to this day. These days this trope no longer really applies as he is happily monogamous, but the trope still haunts him.
Guilt Complex: Cael does not regret his nature as an Incubi or where he is in his life. He does however, harbor some guilt over the nature of his hunger: Specifically, his habit of "overeating". A naturally affectionate person, Cael more than once physically wounded a partner he held genuine affection for by draining too much from them, and not necessarily by accident. His guilt at being unable to really have a true emotionally significant other without wounding them often caused him to flee from genuine attachments for years, preferring fleeting, extreme relationships rather than stable lasting ones, which only ended up causing him more anguish as those relationships dissolved. He's come to grips with this in recent years, but still harbors some feelings of guilt when draining others.
History:
Honestly, Cael's not entirely sure how he was born: Or when, precisely. He knows it was sometime around 1940, 1941-ish but couldn't tell you the exact day. There's no singular moment that can be picked out when he was suddenly dropped form the sky or appeared out of the air, he just remembers existing and that's basically that. An enigma of a birth, like basically all other incubi and succubi. What he is certain about is that he appeared in the midst of german-occupied France, and lived there for the first few years of his life. Fortunately for Cael, he was decidedly Aryan and had a pretty easy time in the early parts of his life. Sometimes he wonders if he is in fact Aryan -because- of the obsession with them around the time and area of his birth, but honestly has never really delved into it.
Contrary to what the general populace might believe, Cael did not start out the man-whore that he became later in his life. He noticed he had the ability, no, the requirement of draining energy from others via touch, but it had very little to do with lust. Not at first, anyway. He found himself capable of blending into modern society pretty easily, forming friendships and draining energy through simple touch and innocuous actions from those he befriended. He was quite Chaste actually. Blending in as well as he could, he took an interest in medicine, already feeling the pangs of guilt inside him from having to suck life force out of others to survive. If he was going to drain small amounts of peoples life force away, the least he could do was take an interest in saving those lives.
Things went pretty well for Cael in this early time of his life. He excelled at his studies, acting as a medical student to several doctors whom he befriended in his time among humans. He even entered into the first real relationship of his life with a fellow medical practitioner-- And it was about this time that lust got mixed into Cubi hunger. After his first time with his at-the-time-Fiancee, Cael discovered he quite enjoyed the process of devouring energy through sexual contact, far more than simple touch, something that would later grow into an addiction of his. Not to mention as he discovered more and more about what he was, he almost felt obligated too: After all, he had next to no way of knowing that the stereotypes revolving around his kind were in fact stereotypes. Cael knew no other Cubi in his life, so really had nothing else to base his assumptions off of.
Unfortunately for Cael, all good things must come to an end. With the global hysteria that came with the revelation that the magical world was real, Witch Hunts were becoming more and more frequent. And guess who slowly felt the pressure building as global paranoia and suspicion grew. Soon everyone suspected everyone else of being something or another, and poor Ol' Cael positively freaked out. He became increasingly erratic and paranoid despite the fact that nobody around him was actually suspicious: Not until he started acting like a maniac, anyway. This culminated in his Fiancee confronting him about his behavior, and him coming clean to her. Good catholic girl that she was, she promptly punched him in the face and screamed at him, calling him a monster.
Devastated, Cael fled, as far and as fast as he could, leaving his old life and everyone he knew behind. This was probably the closest Cael has ever come in his life to literally dying of Heartbreak-- Well, second closest now, but that's a story for later. It took him several months to recover from this and when he did, he was quite abit, erm... more like an "Incubus" than he was before. While the shimmering, temporary bonds of lust and one night stands were nothing compared to the emotional connection of Love, Cael found them a decent enough substitute. Basically from here on up until he met his current significant other, he was pretty much a complete ho-bag.
That said, he wasn't exactly basing his life around this trend. With the rising Witch Hunts came an opportunity: The Magicians Guild was being hunted towards near extinction by the Church. Something Cael quickly realized was threatening him as well, as he had a few close calls with the Church almost exposing and hunting him. For the most part he was able to stay a step ahead, but decided something more preventive might be in order. He reached out to the Guilds, managing to worm his way into one of the smaller guilds. They didn't particularly trust a daemon like him, but they were one of several Magician's Guilds that were not above consorting with demons and the like for their own benefit: The kind the Church particularly despised, essentially.
They didn't particularly trust Cael, nor did Cael particularly trust them. But it was an amicable relationship, and he learned quite a bit about magic from them at the time. He'd always possessed the talent for it, but had never really had proper instruction given how much time he spent blending in as a normal human being. At first, he'd wanted to learn more about the ways of infernal magic, the kind of magic he figured he was supposed to be good at. Turns out, he sucks at Infernal Magic. He had little to no knack for it, and eventually abandoned it altogether, turning his attention towards something more beneficial. Though he'd never really practiced medicine since abandoning his "first life" as it were, he found himself drawn back to the arts of healing. Unfortunately for him, the Guild he had affiliated with had next to no materials on healing magic themselves. As one that was closely affiliated with domestic demons, they had plenty on infernal magic, and that was why he had originally been drawn to them, but their selection of knowledge on the magic of healing others was sub-par at best.
He scrounged together what materials he could, before up and leaving again. This time however, it was not so much a complete ditch, as he did retain his contact with this guild and those it affiliated with, but no longer was considered a member of their guild or privy to their resources. The split was fairly amicable, but this was mostly due to the nature of the times: After all, the guild was having difficulty merely surviving, and had very little time to be upset with a member or two leaving. People abandoned the guilds in droves at these times as they discovered that merely their affiliation with them could get them ostracized or killed, so another member distancing themselves was fairly standard.
After this, Cael kind of drifted through his life. He got back in to practicing medicine at some point, figuring it was easier to blend in as normal when you weren't waving your hands to heal wounds, and made his money off of medical services here and there. He worked several jobs as a roaming doctor (or more commonly as a nurse temporarily), but never tended to stay in one place or with one identity for terribly long. Very few attachments made were lasting, leaving many a broken heart in his wake. After almost dying, it wasn't hard to imagine he was very reluctant to truly form an emotional connection with anyone: But at the same time, he couldn't stand to be alone, so it wasn't uncommon for him to seduce others simply to fill his own loneliness. Kind of a dick move, but he is a demon.
Then he met a dragonkin, they banged, got one of those gross emotional attachment things, fell in love, and went on an adventure to solve an incurable disease. In that order. No results so far yet on that last part.
STATISTICS
Od: E (20 Units)

Endurance: E
Agility: F
LOADOUT
Equipments:
Name: Shapeshifter's Tear
Rank: E
Description: The Shapeshifter's Tear is a jewel, a relatively weak Arma Maga crafted by mixing together the parts of various deceased shapeshifters into a jewel. The Jewel is about the size of a human palm, and Cael usually carries it somewhere on his person, often in the handkerchief he wears around his neck. However, some talented makers of Arma Maga might recognize the jewel for what it is, so he often puts it inside his clothes when in magical company. The Jewel allows for very minor shapeshifting on the part of the wearer: Specifically, to make them appear more human.
In Cael's case, it erases his rather tiny horns and his wings, shapeshifting him into a form that will pass as human. This form has become his default form, allowing him to pass for human and even makes him somewhat resistant towards the normal physical weaknesses of Incubi. (Holy Symbols and Anti-Demon magic and enchantments.) However, it also seals his Flight ability while in this form due to getting rid of his wings. He can pass between the forms at will, but each shift costs 5 of his Od.
Uniforms:
Name: The Clothes He's Wearing
Description: Cael doesn't really do uniforms, so whatever he's wearing is basically all you're going to get for this.
CAPABILITIES
Weaknesses:
- Seeing or being in the close proximity holy symbols or places will repel and paralyze them.
- Rejection or heartbreak will severely mentally and emotionally stress them, to the point of being potentially fatal in serious cases.
- Extremely susceptible to alcohol.
- Vulnerable to anti-demon magic and enchantments.
- Instinctively terrified by isolation.
Skills:
Name: Medical Knowledge
Description: The general knowledge of the body and the tools needed to ensure its health and longevity. The field of applied science focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. E would be basic combat first aid with above-average medical knowledge, while D would be Knowledge of a trained doctor or physician; typically with a specialization of some kind. Beyond these ranks, a person’s medical skills are practically supernatural.
Rank: D
Name: Spirit Doctor
Description: Complementing his knowledge of physical medicine, Cael has spent a good deal of time researching magecraft regarding how to heal and strengthen the body of others. Which is rather difficult when the connotations with such things are often holy or divine, two things that are quite unpleasant to him. His knowledge expands over a variety of spells, most fairly simple, dealing with healing others.
Rank: D
Name: Silver Tongue
Description: The ability to deceive others without them catching on. At E-Rank, is the equivalent of having a certain propensity for being able to convincingly lie to others. In Cael's case, this assisted in his ability to seduce and swindle his targets.
Rank: E
Name: Tactics
Description: The capacity to formulate various field strategies to deal with various situations. With experience and higher intelligence than most, a leader can efficiently lead his team into victory with a solid plan.
Rank: E
Name: Clairvoyance
Description: The ability to "see" things. At higher ranks increases the accuracy, range and field of ones vision, with those branching into A or S rank being capable of "seeing" things not actually occurring in their field of view. At E-Rank represents more of a Keen eye for detail and the capacity to notice small traits and nuances.
Rank: E
Name: Stealth
Description: The capacity to be clandestine. To reach a goal or destination without anyone noticing. The skill to lower what presence the body may possess.
Rank: E
Abilities:
Name: Magical Manipulation
Description: The ability to cast Magic. One must be born to use it. With this ability, the world can be manipulated to the degree of one's knowledge and affinity in Magic. This ability ranks up with one's own Mana Statistic. All Magicians must have this ability or they cannot cast anything. That said, they must have this ranked up to at least same rank of the desired spell they wish to cast.
Rank: E
Name: Life Draining
Description: In order to survive, succubi and incubi must consume the life of others – although most are not keen on fatally draining their prey, it is still an unpleasant process for their victims. While there are a variety of methods via which they can perform this draining with similar variance as to their efficiency or how blatant they are, they have the same effect in the end – the succubi or incubi’s Od and health is restored in exchange for their victim’s vitality, Ki or own Od.
In Cael's case, this ability transpires through physical touch of any kind: However, the amount drained is usually quite low, hardly noticeable without a great deal of physical contact. As such it has little to no combat viability in it's current state, unless Cael someone managed to wrap his opponent in a full nelson. Even then, they probably would barely notice the drain unless it was directly skin-to-skin contact.
Rank: E
Name: Seduction
Description: The natural craft of succubi among other supernatural beings; seduction is a variant of hypnosis that uses their supernatural attractiveness to persuade and dominate other beings. This ability predominantly allows them to lull their victim’s into a dazed state where they are especially susceptible to suggestion and orders; although they are rarely focused enough to offer much in the way of action for their controllers. This ability can be resisted through the straight-forward means of being alert enough to ignore the seductive techniques or otherwise reject them, or through Mental Strength of the ability’s rank or higher; but in any case will unsettle the victim if they identify the supernatural craft.
Rank: E
Name: Flight
Description: The capacity of supernatural beings to fly via physical or magical means; but without the aid of spells. Lower ranks cover basic gliding and simple aerial mobility, while higher ranks allow for high-altitude adjustment and grandiose aerial manoeuvres.
Rank: E
Techniques/Spells:
Name: Flicken
Incantation: Motioning his palm over a flesh wound and chanting "Heilen Sie diese gebrochen Fleisch".
Description: A gentle white light emerges from Cael's palm extending toward the wound in question. Minor physical wounds and ailments are cured rapidly, while things more serious than a standard flesh wound might require several minutes of the light to heal completely.
Rank: E
Cost: 4
Type: Support
Name: Heilung
Incantation: Indicating his intended target via pointing or gesturing toward them, then uttering the name of the spell.
Description: A soft glow surrounds the target, appearing more like the shimmer of hot air around them then any noticeable light. This spell purifies the target of curses or mental interference techniques equal or lower in rank, and helps to mitigate those of a higher rank.
Rank: E
Cost: 4
Type: Support
Name: Stärken
Incantation: Indicating his intended target via pointing or gesturing toward them, then uttering the name of the spell.
Description: Causes the targets skin to shimmer slightly as Cael's magic flows into them, reinforcing their physical parameters. The target gains a + modifier on two stats, chosen at the time of casting. This buff lasts for 5 turns, and does NOT stack with itself, so only one instance may be applied at a time. Cannot be used on Cael himself.
