The shattering of the Masquerade didn't seem to stop human fantasies about that which they did not understand. Sure there were factions that were very well studied in the supernatural and mystic kind, and select individual mortals or small cults likely did similar amounts of research and yet still managed to get the basics wrong. For all mankind's whining and fear towards daemons, vampires, werewolves and all other manner of mystic kind they still heavily enjoyed fantasies that involved such things. Movies, television, novels, and...nightclubs.
This was rather embarrassing, honestly. It wasn't the music that got to Victoria, not at all. The young lady found herself willing to enjoy all manner of music so long as it had some form of "soul". Classical was the standard for one of her stature. Most in her House enjoyed it immensely, and her living parents had enjoyed it as well. However music was remarkable in that there were infinite possibilities when it came to creating it. The evolution and expansion of music was likely to never end as more and more methods of creating and manipulating it were discovered throughout the years. Even this more "electronic" music had some serious gems within it, and Victoria could appreciate them.
It wasn't the gothic atmosphere that got to her either. Though many of the mortals and even Kindred that attended the Vermilion Storm were going a touch too far, Victoria had spoken with more than several Houses that dressed similar. House Valentine preferred a brighter, almost militaristic look. Elegant, yes, but with an air of power that they had "earned" through hardship. Hence why her uniform looked as it did. But many other Kindred dressed in questionable attire that was all black or at least pre-dominantly black. Yes, it matched well with the pale skin, but surely that didn't mean they couldn't explore other styles and colours, did it?
But no, that wasn't what embarrassed her either. It was the feedings. Thankfully many of the attendants of this club at least did such things privately, but the mortals that would plead the more attractive Kindred for "A Kiss" was appalling. It was as if they were soliciting them for sexual favors. Disgusting. Yes, The Kiss felt heavenly, but that was so humans didn't panic or flail about in agony, causing our fans to rip their neck open and essentially sentencing them to death. It was an elegant kindness that allowed us to spare lives and save us future trouble, not something you could pay a common whore to do for you.
Victoria herself had to tear her eyes away from one human male who was moaning so loud she could hear him over the music. Some dull-looking female had decided to indulge him. Victoria hoped that it as at least out of pity and nothing...baser.
Shifting her focus back to her task Victoria had to remind herself why she had come to the Vermilion Storm in the first place. While she didn't really mind the club it was far from her first choice to attend in the Entertainment District. However one Fiorella Conti happened to own and manage the establishment and attended every night it was open. That meant that, despite this being her place of business, it was easily the number one location to find the Fang at. Establishing contact and some form of cooperation could prove imperative to Victoria. There was even a chance she'd be able to gain some form of influence in the Entertainment District herself, though she'd have to be careful not to appear like she was encroaching on Fiorella's territory. She knew far too well how territorial Fangs could be. After all she was one.
So Victoria, dressed in a rather striking red and black affair featuring a variant of her favourite red dress, carefully made her way through the mobs. Being who she was drew the eye of many, many human males and even a few male Kindred, but she did her best to ignore them. She didn't need any distractions for what was about to come.
