HUMAN POLITICS AND SOCIETY
Even after the first known Demon Outbreaks of 1945 and the Civil Rights Movements of the 70's and 80's, Human society continues to remain mixed about the Supernatural world that exists along side with their mundane days. Fear is the most common of responses. They know less of these unusual creatures than any of the Factions around. It is their existence that humanity has become very aware of their fragility. This is now linked back to their fears, especially when they still have no idea how to deal with such monstrosities. This is why factions such as I.A.C.S.B. are so indispensable to human society. But this is the modern era where civil rights and the effects of race has become more part of the social structure. In fact, some humans wish to coexist with your usual vampire. Or even some wish to become one. Whatever the case, the acceptance of the supernatural will vary region by region, state by state, and country by country.
It goes without saying that the current human governments have employed supernaturals or people with experience dealing the occult to deal with things past human ability to deal with. But ultimately, these governments work with the current supernatural factions in the world on the human side of things. It is to no surprise that governments continue to attempt to place various laws to attain some form of control on this new phenomenon with much controversy. There are even the wealthy corporate few who attempt to lobby for laws to get involved with the Supernatural. But many of their ventures have essentially led to casualties which led to the government and the human factions to start cracking down on them.
As stated earlier, there are humans that wish to coexist with the Supernatural. Most of these same humans also try to lobby for an expansion of civil rights for such entities with the backing of the I.A.C.S.B., the Magician's Guild, the Martial Forest Coalition, the Vampire Houses, and Fae Courts. It is mostly the Church that wish to continue reminding humanity that they cannot coexist such creatures as they fight against the threats that bizarre has to offer. The influence of these factions over supernatural policy of human governments, of course relies on what country, region, and state possesses the most influence from any of the factions.
As there are humans who wish to coexist, there are also humans who wish to rid the world of these dangerous monsters. Such people are not limited to just the Church. In fact, there are a number of independent extremist groups who play vigilante to hunt down and even expose these "wretched monsters." Sometimes it even hurts the Church more as some of these have religious alignments such as Catholicism, in which they act without the Church's orders. This makes the Church even more of a fanatical cult than an institution of moral integrity.
Regardless of each Faction's influence, they must be careful to ensure they have the backing of the Public or face the consequences.

U.S.A.: The United States of America currently has civil rights in place for supernaturals of all sorts and is possibly the most diverse out of all the other countries in the world. Despite this, there are some regions where they are not taken quite kindly. Nevertheless, the more metropolitan of cities tends to have an universal acceptance of them. As the I.A.C.S.B. had its origins there, the government gives it a lack of oversight like all the other countries.
Russia: Once potentially could have become the U.S.A.'s enemy. But has continued its expansion of Communism in Eastern Europe as it worked together with the U.S.A. to deal with the demons that keep entering the world and as well as partake in the elimination of other supernaturals that generally didn't have any ill will against humans. Such campaigns left the country destitute as the Communist government came to be handle resources poorly. Especially antagonizing much of the supernatural beings that could have helped them. Thus, Communism there fell during the late 80's and early 90's with its satellite countries breaking off to dictate their own fates.
Overall there is currently a major split in the country between the cities that have been pushed into capitalism by investment from foreign powers wanting to exploit the country during its financial low, particularly in terms of its natural resources; and the rural populations and minor cities which often are still set in their ways of communism. This has led to outright conflict between the two political sides on some occasions due to some extremist groups supporting either end; and leaving both parties with a great degree of animosity for the other class courtesy of their constant squabbles. At this point, supernatural beings are reluctantly accepted; albeit treated with disdain particularly by the more nationalist populations.
China: After World War 2, it later became a separation of two factions, the Imperialists and the Communists. On the northern side of China is the constitutional monarchy of the Qing Empire, with a parliament very much like old Britain. With capitalism boosting their economy to become a world power, it becomes no surprise that Northern China is doing quite well on its own. All of the Ki Artists there have become part of the Emperor in order to have a lack of government oversight, thus owing their lives to the ruler. On an overall, supernaturals seems to be accepted as just a daily part of life. At least for the more modernized regions.
Southern China's Communism once had rough times with events similar to the Cultural Revolution and Five Year Plans. Nevertheless, it has persevered through the most and became just as prosperous of a country like its Qing counterpart. With its looser hold on Communism's doctrines for the freer capitalism, it was able to at least obtain some enterprising supernaturals to become residents in their lands. Thus, they seem to be slightly more accepting of non-humans in the country as some actually work in the government by providing their services.
Japan: After the U.S. Occupation, Japan continued to stay close with the Americans even when the Emperor's status continued to perpetuate itself as some divine being. However, faith in him has dwindled after such hard times as Demon Outbreaks continued to attack the archipelago. Nevertheless, the Ki Artists have done their best to fend off such threats. Especially their former Magician's Guild allies. Very similar to the Qing, the Ki Artists have become part of the Emperor's servants and took up a status very similar to the genro from the beginning of the Meiji Period. Yet, they were most active as they continued to fend off supernatural threats, thus at least giving the Emperor a modicum of power in politics. But now with the Civil Rights Era, supernaturals became very much more accepted in common society with the help of the media which is easy given their acceptance of the kami and whatnot. Even now some actually work in the government as well. The Guilds have returned, but there is a complicated relationship between the two sides depending on which groups are held in question.
Korea: After the Outbreak, it was left on its own devices for the most part. While taking in some aid from the U.S., many of its countrymen and various Ki Artist Styles have returned to the Peninsula to help bring the country back on its feet. Yet it isn't with its problems as dictatorships, corruption, and mismanagement, complicated its growth. But it didn't take long for the new installment of competent and loyal politicians to be installed after a decade of coups. Democracy and Capitalism proved itself able for the country as it now recovered to the point it became an economic power in the world. The Ki Arts Style shares the fate of its Japanese and Chinese brethren by being part of the government, while still maintaining a lack of government oversight so as long as they serve to protect. The same with its Guild members, sharing the same fates of the other countries.
Germany: Possibly the most reviled country after World War Two, divided into four occupational zones between the U.S., Russia, France, and Great Britain. Their people were never treated as badly as there was aid for them. Except for the Russian side, perhaps. Many of its intellectual experts were taken by various sides for each of the occupational country's own gain. Even after that, some unspeakable horrors awaited them as losers of the war and as a country that brought in the demons.
