Seeing the succubus disappear in a tactically disadvantageous path to follow was frustrating. Hopefully the Boivins didn't hold it against me. Returning, I hear Ruby's plan for how to deal with the succubus, and repress a sigh. Frankly, the incident did bear reporting...she seemed to know altogether too much to at least not have it be reviewed...it didn't sit right with me, but it wasn't my place to make a fuss. Hopefully, the mission would be enough of a success that it didn't bear down too harshly on her, as incomprehensible to his own thought process as she was.
While it was nice to listen to the younger sister talk about subjects that interested her, he could begin to feel the magical presence of the ritual, even when his own magic was rather far afield from the daemonology that Ruby practiced. When she suggested immediate action, I couldn't help but agree. "I'll be ready." I answer, crisp and clean. It wasn't the time to be messing around, that much was clear. Having nothing to add, and hearing that Amethyst was ready to go, he nods. "Let's begin. Mark."
Mumbling in slavic, he manifests Ravijojla's power in the most common application he had for it, and a spined tentacle ten feet long sprouts from his forearm. Using the boost of speed that Ruby had given him with her own magic, he charges in at the house. The tentacle moves with snap-motion, striking like a snake. It's fearsome blade sings through the air as it aims to impale the heart of the man on ground level, while his free hand reaches up to grab onto the head of his unfortunate target. Needless to say, what would happen if he could get a grip would not be tasteful or pretty, and would likely earn a film an R rating on it's own.

The thunderous boom of Amythest’s tremendous and old-fashioned rifle would definitely be enough to put the entire city block on high alert – but perhaps more to the point its payload left the kindred scrambling; not the least because it had left its intended target utterly out of commission. The shot was more than enough to spear straight through its target even though its aim had indeed been a little bit off; leaving the seemingly unarmoured vampire missing a considerable portion of his waist… and giving the wall behind him a rather rough paint job in the process. Suffice to say, the members of the motel were immediately on high alert after the shot – shout of alert and curses rang out immediately, and the remaining would-be alchemists scrambled for cover and armaments. Four, five – seven, maybe more; shuffled into combat positions around the otherwise abandoned motel.
Before the group of enforcers could gain a bearing on the situation, Kursten’s charge bore its expected results – while his target was certainly on alert now, having a tentacle tear through his torso his neck twisted off was more than enough to take him out of commission before he had any chance to prepare to retaliate. However, it was not with as much ease as Kursten might find in dispatching a mortal foe, as a vampire had a bit more force behind their body despite their complexion; leaving him in a troublesome situation as his tentacle was jammed in amongst his victim’s ribs – taking the trouble to remove his tentacle properly would certainly same him some mana, but not dispelling it forcibly would also leave him open to the defenders setting up near him. He was exposed by the motel as it is, so he hadn’t even cover to give him hope… but on the other hand, the kindred were definitely not in the mood to moving out just yet given the calibre they’d just been met with; so perhaps it was a safer gamble than it seemed.
As Ruby held back, she would gradually get a better read of the situation – by the looks of things, most of the opposition had been busied with magical work; leaving them predominantly holding out in the building itself – about three in the left room, and probably three again in the right. In between, though; two had vanished amidst the bottom floor’s rooms, while her comrades had dispatched two already. At least four of the count were armed, but it was difficult to keep track of whom… submachine guns and pistols were the only weapons of note, though. Given the movements of the enemies thus far, it would appear their leader was still out of sight; most likely in the left room of the second floor… for now, the gangers seemed to be focussing more on forming defensive positions than retaliating, but the click of weapon safeties and clatter of magazines made it clear that trouble was on its way.
”Shooting vampires! How bold! But how futile! Your information is as outdated as your magic, children!” boomed a voice over the clamour of the scuffle – definitely male, and probably fairly old; but seemingly muffled by something. ”You had best retreat now, humans. This matter is out of your purview! Focus on your short-lived dreams rather than troubles above your station. Otherwise, prepare to meet your end before the next daybreak!” With the announcement, the stressed kindred seemed to focus once more. No doubt it was their leader speaking, but… such bombastic charisma was a bit crazy to hear from gangsters with guns. Then again, magic really did attract all sorts…

Excellent the coordinated strike had taken the two out that needed to be taken out, and so far, so good. Several others shuffled out of the building, and it appeared four of the group were armed. Pistols and sub machine guns, nothing that would be a considerable threat for those of kindred blood such as all of out party. They will regret bringing peashooters to a fight with those of such distinguished blood as ourselves, and for bringing disgrace onto the name of the Strigoi. Speaking of disgraces, what came out of the leader's mouth baffled me, he referred to his group as -vampires- not by our true name, the Kindred, and he seemed to think we were human. The nerve of humans, or perhaps the foolishness of a particularly idiotic mistake of my clan, made me almost want to respond to him before fighting, but I would do it when he was staring me in the face. Such restraint mistress~ If I didn't know better I would think you were going soft in your old ageYes yes, very funny. Get ready to channel, Izodar, now is the time to teach these wpretenders what it means to be one truly of Kindred bloodVery well, mistress, if you order it, I will command it as your humble servantIzodar vanished, leaving behind a feeling of being...almost pleased? It seemed she didn't like such stains on the name of the blood of the one who had conquered her any more than I liked them on my own. How apt, maybe this day was quite good after all. If it hadn't have been for that blight of a succubus it might have just been downright beaming. Taking aim at one of the men near Kursten before he had a chance to react, I began to cast from my position. "שטן של החוזה הראשון שלי, לשמוע את השיחה שלי ושחקנים בשבילי! אנכי מצוך כוחות שטניים, להירקב הבשר של האויבים שלי!!" The incantation finished, I let loose a bolt of necrotic energy, aiming for dead center, straight on the heart so that I could end his pathetic existence. "Show these poor deluded fools that they have brought the absolute wrong tools to our fight, Kursten, Soror Percara!"With that, I tried to make my way to a vantage point with cover, which would allow me to cast from relative safety while keeping an eye on the situation.
