It was a boon that this Horror wasn't fast enough. Shaw's quick reaction and footwork allowed him to intercept the monster. As his sword dug into its skull, it forced its entire body to jerk in a stop. The sudden scale-knife that suddenly dug into its throat did much to force the Horror to spasm in pain with its claws grasping and clutching where the protrusion was at. Shaw had smartly finished it off with a quick jerk of his blade. It collapsed and started to leak blood from its open cranium. Not before HAiley smashed it with her Horror-on-a-stick-axe to force it off the blade, which it did. The two corpses were sent flying and would land to the side like rag-dolls as they lay gasping their last breaths. What the group saw before them was a bloody murder site of monstrosities they have just gotten rid of. Nothing seemed to be attacking them now. Perhaps the Horrors around were the only ones here, or maybe the others lurking around decided that it would be wise to wait for a better time. None of them knew, but it would make the team feel more vulnerable being all alone here. "Are you done now?" Ciara would seem rather cross to Edwin, since he is the one contracted with her. Yet, he would soon notice the spirit was done being annoyed and rather serious about it. Inside, Wolfram could hear from the radio. And it sounded as if someone was calling for help. "C-n any-- he-r me?! People are dy--ng her-- Someon-- plea--e resp--nd! Wh--re's---eam?" Interference only broke the voice into gibberish. It sounded like a man's, which may bring a number of questions for the group. But the most important of them right now, would they continue on this road? Perhaps the interference can finally die down and they could hope of getting closer to their objective.

Nothing else seemed to be coming - one small mercy, at least. Edwin finally put away his shotgun after taking a quick glance around.
The attack had been terrible. True, it could have been a lot worse - everyone was still alive, even if the minotaur had taken some nasty acid. Hell, Edwin had even taken down a horror somehow - maybe he hadn't forgotten everything his father had tried to teach him. The problem being that they were still far from accomplishing what they'd set out to do - they might have fended off a group of monstrous things, sure, but that didn't really help much considering they were still no closer to finding whom they were searching for...
Edwin sighed as he opened the door and sat back into the driver's seat of the van, trying pointedly to ignore the lazy-ass vampire that still was looking at him every so often as if he was a fattened calf. It wasn't long before Ciara started complaining - well, even Edwin couldn't deny it was understandable to some degree. The van looked - well, not totalled, but it was going to take some serious work to get this armament back to shape. They were going to need to try and make sure the van didn't get worse - if the van broke down, it was going to be much harder to get Dr. Crane out of this place, if it was even possible. "Ciara, all we did was fend off some skeletons." Edwin rubbed his temples. "We still have no idea where the hell the doctor--"
As if a sign from the gods themselves, the radio suddenly squealed into life. Edwin didn't even care that it didn't sound like the Dr. Elizabeth Crane - it sounded like someone, and that was good enough. Edwin picked up the receiver. "This is Melchiott, do you read? IACSB reinforcements are coming your way! We need your location, please respond!" Unfortunately, whatever interference there was seemed to be breaking up the rest of the receiving message and Edwin was under no doubt they'd be lucky if they got any response back from them. "Damn it!" He slammed the receiver down - whatever was happening to them it sounded like they were going through far worse, and they still had no real location - except to go deeper, judging by the fact that the fact there was so much interference implied that they were deeper in the caves - that, and they sure as hell weren't likely to be hiding behind one of these pillars.
Edwin started up the van, kicking it into life as he stuck his head out the window. "Oi, you lot! Hurry the hell up and get in, we need to get moving!" Edwin called out to the others. Once they got in, the only real thing that the group could do was try and continue on this road in a hope that the radio interference would lessen enough so that they could find out where the group in danger were - and the sooner they could get any kind of guidance the better. The idea of just going deeper into these mines wasn't particularly appealing, and Edwin did wonder if they might be getting led into a trap, but what else were they supposed to do at this point? Leave?

With my swing, I smacked into the horror hard as the scaled blade from the other man in the car penetrated its neck and Shaw finished it off by flicking his sword upwards, leaving my blow to send it flying and take its buddy along with it as it came off of my axe. The acid still burned, and I felt it beginning to do some serious damage so I spent some of my remaining energy to heal myself, directing some of my od towards the wounds to counteract the effect of the acid, which had left my skin red and raw.
After that was done, I swung my axe hard to make sure I got as much of the acid off of it as possible so I would reduce the amount of damage it would do to it before starting to head back to the van, which is when the twig started yelling really loud from inside the van. Apparently there was some sort of transmission from where we had to go, which gave a bit more urgency to the operation, not that it needed any more as it already had, mind you. I hurried back to the van and got in as quickly as possible, trying to squeeze in with my axe so that the others could get in quickly and comfortably so we could be on our way.
With that done, I decided to ask Edwin a question, "Do you happen to have a first aid kit and a towel? I would really like to get these wounds covered up so my healing doesnt have as much of a strain helping it along, and I think removing the acid from Bessy here as well as whatever s left on me would help" I said, as I sat there waiting and looking around to see if I could see anything of the sort.
