Nicole nodded in response to Arwen. "Thanks for the offer. Really, it's mighty kind of you!" She said with a bright smile. She seemed nice... if a bit quick to trust others... But then again, what reason did Nicole have to cast suspicion on the elf? None, really. Sure, she wasn't as open about things as anyone else would've been, but... her previous work had something to do with that. "Well, precision, patience and other such things can be useful elsewhere too. Not just in cooking." Having a steady hand for instance helped with gunplay, sewing, and other such things. Sure, cooking tea was perhaps not the best way to improve on one's finger and hand movement, but at least it was something...?
Nicole raised an eyebrow at the sudden change in demeanour from both her table partners. Was there something wrong...? "Allergies?" She asked Arwen, nodding towards Lili. Well, it was springtime, so things like pollen allergy and other such things were around. It wouldn't suprise her at all. She wasn't all that suspicious of what was going on, but... well, would you get anywhere in life without being a bit curious? Perhaps it was just an old habit from her days in the CIA, where her whole job revolved around poking her nose into other people's buissness... Except that buissness was more of the criminal variety, and not something as simple as the Allergy Nicole assumed Lili had...
"The I.A.C.S.B? Well, I've considered it..." Nicole replied thoughtfully. An agent job again, huh...? Well, perhaps she could use the work... After all, being un-employed for any longer would eventually cause problems for the woman. "I wouldn't be against the idea..." At least she had some military experience to back her up. "Why are you apologizing for?" Nicole asked with a raised eyebrow. She sure was an... interesting fellow. A couple of moments later, the waiter would return with their food, which he promptly put down on the table before leaving them with a deep bow. He looked somewhat less stressed now than earlier. Perhaps he was just nervous when talking to people...?
"Well... Bon Appetit!"

It seemed that Lili was a bit nervous about giving her own shot, perhaps it was because of how many people were aroun? I know she normally gave her shots to herself, but it seemed she was unusually eager to have me do it. No matter though, I would just have to figure out a way to explain it to our new acquaintance Nicole. Luckily, however, she provided a satisfactory excuse herself, by asking if Lili had allergies. That would definitely work as a cover, though I felt quite bad for lying to her. It couldn't be helped, however, as I didnt want to explain too much about what I would be injecting Lili with or why. Deciding to take advantage of this, I began to speak to Nicole. "Indeed, its a bit why shes been acting a bit off as well. Her werewolf side gets a little bit more noticeable when her allergies are acting up," I said, taking the cover that Nicole had provided. Deciding to take matters into my own hands, I turned to Lili and said, "Well then, I'm not quite sure where you keep them, if you want help you'll have to get them out for me." I wasn't exactly sure where she kept them in her blazer, and I didn't want to go rummaging around through her pockets, in public especially. It would probably be uncomfortable for her too, I know I wouldn't like to have someone going through pockets around my chest. For some reason however, Lili never seemed to mind when I touched her, no matter where it was, and when I would apologize, it would seem she was a tad confused, so I might be worrying for nothing. Perhaps she just trusted me that much, because I know she didn't seem to care for other people touching her. While I was waiting for Lili to get out her syringe box, Nicole responded to the offer I had made earlier, saying she had already considered working there, and said she wouldn't be against the idea. That was excellent, but before I could respond to her statements, the waiter came back bringing all of our food. As he came around, I thanked the waited for his expedience and, gave him a bright smile. After he left, I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and put my hands over my heart, and began to recite the prayer of thanks in elven that my mother had aught me so long ago, "Thank you, earth, for this meal you have provided for me. Thank you for the plants and meat that sustains us, thank you for the minerals that flavor it and nourish us, thank you for the energy used to cook it, and thank you for the ability to share it with those important to us."After saying my prayer, I opened up my eyes and took another deep breath, and waited for Lili to bring out her syringe case, if she hadn't already, waiting to see how Nicole would take my explanation for it.

Arwen basically did the talking for her compatriot once again, to the wolf’s utmost appreciation – she hated explaining things, especially things she didn’t understand so much herself. ”Yes! It’s tough. I hate – plants.” chimed in the girl, not quite dumb enough to question the cover she’d been given. It was probably better than admitting she was taking spiked meth in front of a stranger. However, the half-elf would be left waiting for a moment extra as Lili seemed to just about expect her to go frisking her blazer herself… but the expectant look she earned from Arwen sunk the wannabe werewolf’s hopes without a pinch of hesitation. With a tiny huff, Lili unbuttoned her blazer and extracting the little metal case – although she hastily tucked it away again when the waiter came haunting about; her anxiety getting the better of her. But, it was but a passing moment of panic as food appeared – food! Horray! The intimidating hamburger didn’t seem to phase the girl a bit with its size; only serving to excite the canine comrade with the delectable scent. But, Lili was then left glancing anxiously between her meal and Arwen, torn between her two treats… no no, Arwen came first! Master first, food second! Slipping out the case again, the little wolf gave Arwen a hurried nod. Slipping together the sections of the syringe with professional skill despite her current state, Lili swiftly presented the needle after a few taps to remove any air – that would be an extraordinarily bad way to go, even by her standards. To Nicole, it was probably a pretty bizarre sight… a grey-haired girl slightly blushing while holding a syringe full of a bright pink fluid; looking expectantly at an awkwardly chipper half-elf whom had just finished a prayer of some kind.

"Ah, I see." Nicole said, taking a bite out of her food. Delicious, like she expected. She then gave what Arwen said some thought. Did it really work that way...? Maybe. Nicole knew way too little on the subject to know whether or not that was an actual thing, so instead of questioning it, she took their word for it and kept eating.
Beholding the makabre scene in front of her with some interest, Nicole kept quiet for the most part. Prayers concerning the food wasn't too outlandish for her at all. Some of her friend's parents back in middleschool used to do that as well, although the prayer itself was entirely different, being christian for the most part, rather than... whatever it was Arwen was praying to. "Huh... I've never heard that prayer before..." Nicole started before taking a sip of her beverage, looking at Arwen curiously. As for what Lili was doing... from what Nicole knew, shots like that wasn't normally necessary for something simple like Pollen allergy. She wouldn't give it too much thought though. That was Lili's buissness, not hers, so there was no reason to pry. Besides, they just met. It would be very rude of her to suddenly suspect Lili of lying to her.

Deciding to take Lili as a priority and get the shot over and done with so she would be feeling a lot more at ease, I took the syringe she gave me already prepared and moved closer to her and leaned over her so I could get a better sight on her thigh, given that is where I would be doing the injection. It had to be there, the shoulder, or the wrist, and I would like to avoid giving her unnecessary pain, so I decided that was the place I would use. Brushing a bit of my hair back behind my ear to get it out of my line of sight, I began the injection.
I quickly poked her with it and begun the injection, feeling that saying anything would just make it hurt more since she would be tensing up for it. As soon as it was done, I removed the needle and gave it back to the girl, since she would have to dispose of it at a later date, probably keeping it in her case until she had a chance to put it in a proper place to dispose of it. With that done, I said, "All done, Lili. I hope you feel better now with that taken care of." After saying that, I would return to my seat and take a bite of my food, savoring it before replying to Nicole.
"Ah yes, you probably wouldn't have if you aren't familiar with elves. Its an Elven prayer taught to me by my mother, I was raised like an elf for the most part so many of my customs are a bit strange compared to a normal person," I said, telling her a bit about my upbringing and explaining the prayer. "The prayer is essentially thanking the earth for the plants and animals whose lives went into this food who sustained us, the minerals like salt that flavor it, the energy that went into cooking it, and the company that I now share it with." I had explained the prayer once before to Lili, as she had seemed a tad curious about what I had been saying when I was praying before meals.
After explaining it, I enjoyed a bit more of my food before deciding to ask a bit about Nicole herself, Do you have any hobbies, Nicole? I myself like to cook, as I said before, but I also happen to collect plush dolls. I also have gotten fairly good at mending and altering them. How about yourself?"
With that question asked I would eat while I waited for her answer eagerly, as I wanted to learn more about my new acquaintance. However, I would also make sure to keep an eye on Lili, after all, the drugs I injected her with were rather powerful, so there might be side effects from their usage, and I wanted to make sure that she didn't have problems stemming from that, especially not when we were in public.

Lili would give Nicole a quick warning glance for her suspicions, but her defensive attitude would be pushed aside by the attention coming from Arwen. An injection, from Arwen! It was practically a good thing if Arwen was going to do it. Um, though; it’d be really nice if she could pamper her properly later… a massage, a scratch behind the ears, or maybe a bath… ooh, that last one was probably pushing it, though… well, a girl could dream. Maybe she could convince Arwen otherwise, given enough time. She did need the occasional flea bath anyway, and the half-elf was big on all that natural stuff… hum. Oh, and she was going to get those natural soaps for her as a present later today, too… Utterly lost in her train of thought in the midst of her excitement, Lili finally took notice of her situation as Arwen loomed over her for a moment – but by then, the jab was over and done with already. She was almost upset – but it was hard for her to be disappointed as the familiar euphoria began to overwhelm her senses. The flash. The grey-haired girl would shiver noticeably for a second, closing her eyes tightly; before shaking herself back to reality. Or as much of reality as she could stomach right now. Seeming renewed by the drug, Lili would gently settle down; swaying ever so slightly from side to side in contentment. A blush gradually radiated across her cheeks as she was enraptured by the intoxication. Arwen… Arwen! Yes, the wonderful half-elf was still by her side! Glancing towards the girl, the would-be werewolf would smile a little bit to herself; sort of just staring at her in a trance… And, the buzz. After a few seconds, Lili returned to her senses – well, enough to take the use syringe from Arwen and put it away safely in her case for proper sterilisation later. Giving the blonde a chipper nod, the canine turned her attention to her meal… and what a meal! She was glad she was attentive for this. Especially given her current state… her senses were on overdrive for the time-being, so this was going to be quite the experience. With feral tenacity, Lili would take a whopping chunk out of her burger – err, was that really healthy for a girl her size? It seemed like her physique couldn’t stop her excitement, though; as she continued to tear into the burger with unrestrained glee. Swallowing a grandiose mouthful, the little wolf would turn to her compatriot as Arwen explained her heritage to Nicole. ”Mm! The world is good, because it gives good food and Arwen. I’m happy.” interjected Lili chipperly, before taking another grand chomp from her lunch; only to interject once again Arwen had asked her further question. ”Arwen’s plushies are great. I like sleeping with them. Ah, but she got mad when I tore one up by accident once… I’m still sorry, Arwen. It was a full moon…”
