LAWS OF MAGIC
Magic is an ability wielded by individuals called Magicians. These Magicians have formed various Guilds as a means to help gain necessary connections and resources for the furthering of their own research. But once Magic has been shown to society, humanity's fear of its existence caused them to suffer greatly at their hands. Now that after the decades of Civil Rights, Magicians are at least protected under most laws. Reflecting that, Magicians have also set in place a number of laws to regulate their own magic. While it did put some peace in the minds of the public, most Magicians do not normally follow these rules completely as they are more focused on their research and will most likely do what is needed to further their studies. That said, most Magicians, at least do not go out of their way to antagonize the public society as it would even adversely affect their research as well. These laws are at least somewhat enforced by the Enforcers of the Guilds.
