Arwen’s sparkling reception to Lili’s appearance earned a tiny smile from the hybrid, unsurprisingly pleased to receive such a response – compliments! She was a good girl! She was the best! Sadly, her high was promptly cut off by the explanation for the brat’s presence… was Arwen really so clueless as to just hang around anyone titled an ‘enforcer’? Taking him to lunch, no less? Honestly, it felt like a bit of a mock excuse… but then again, so did a lot of what the half-elf said. For now, perhaps she could excused… Lili did not like liars. Not one bit. ”O-Oh, I… have not been working long… I’m just filling in. So, I’m not used to it…” murmured Lili in response to Arwen’s initial questions, deciding to try and ignore Emilio’s presence for now. Being called moody and being told to play nice didn’t exactly improve her mood, honestly. Still, it seemed Arwen was fine with just moving on – until that final scolding. A tiny frown replaced Lili’s earlier smile; her usual leer returning to normal. ”Lili is fine…”Pointedly ignoring Emilio’s odd question about her name tag, the werewolf was more bamboozled by his offer. On one hand, dinner with Arwen! On the other, fancy garbage food and she’d already eaten. On one hand, being able to hold off this brat herself! On the other, having to be around this dunce – thing might just get worse. Decisions, decisions… well, it couldn’t hurt, could it? ”…I think that should be fine. I’ll organise your order. But, Mister… Emily, I need to talk to you personally for a moment. About your order. Uh, we just need to make sure of… the…” begun Lili, dancing around her words with as much tact as usual – in other words, zilch. ”Um, pasta. In case of allergies.”Seeming satisfied with her vapid excuse, the hybrid just tried to take the poor boy’s hand and drag him along by force – thankfully not much given her form and the context, but it was still probably not quite what he’d been expecting. Still, she did not care for being known for her manners… results are what mattered! And by hell, she was going to show this thief some results if he didn’t listen…

Emilio couldn't help but notice the way Lili reacted to Arwen. When you learned to fight, you learned to pay attention to tells an opponent might have. Lili's reactions to things were pretty telling. She enjoyed Arwen's compliments, but she didn't really like being scolded all that much. Was it just because Arwen was her handler or . . .?
It was probably nothing. He was over thinking it. The only situation in which he really got to see how people reacted to each other was if they were a target, so it probably wasn't applicable here. That and books, but books could only go so far. You needed practical application to tie knowledge together. Yeah, he was probably just overthinking it. Nothing too strange could be going on right?
If Lili was new, she'd probably just grabbed the wrong nametag by mistake. That was fairly innocent. She seemed nervous about saying it though. Probably nothing.
Emilio managed to get out, "But I don't have any food allergies!" before being ripped away from the table with a surprising amount of force.
This was definitely bad. This was dangerous. Emilio wasn't entirely sure why, but this girl was dangerous. She seemed like someone who did everything with a purpose, which was bad because when Emilio encountered people with a purpose, that purpose was usually to harm him . . . typically because he had bin ordered to hit them in the face with a fireball, but that didn't change that he was getting a similar feeling of hostility off of Lili that he got off of a target. Plus, with this amount of force she was definitely on the offensive, this was more than normal people, and he doubted Lili would call attention to herself by casually using this amount of strength on most people.
Emilio dug his heals in to try and halt Lili while also jerking his body backwards a little. "Really, I don't have any food allergies. There shouldn't be a problem with anything!" Emilio reiterated, raising his voice a little this time. He really wasn't enjoying being manhandled over something so trivial.

As I was getting Lili to get back to work, Emilio instead suggested a perfect idea! He mentioned that she should take her meal break and eat with us, and said that if I wasn't comfortable paying for three he would pay, but that would not do at all! I immediately replied to him, saying, "No No, that won't do at all Emilio, I would be glad to pay for Lili as well. I just was not aware that what you suggested was possible. I am rather unfamiliar with low wage jobs in general, especially in this country, so I did not think that she would be allowed to join us. However, I would be thrilled to have her join us if that's the case!" I was practically beaming at the prospect of having Emilio and Lili get to know each other better. In fact, it was now that a plan began to form in my head. Both Emilio and Lili both seemed like loners, and if I left them alone, they probably would both never find anyone for themselves. So why don't I put the two of them together? It would be perfect! A match made in heaven as you will, a werewolf and a dhampir, both of which known for being the bane of vampires!
With my mind made up, I began to think about ways to get the two of them to interact a bit more, and then it seemed Lili decided to take the initiative on it, and grabbed onto Emilio, and said that she needed to bring him back to the chef in case he had allergies. It was such an obvious lie that even I could tell she was lying, especially since she kept dragging him after he protested that he did not have any allergies. Maybe she was finally taking interest in someone other than myself! Today would definitely be a day to remember as the first time that Lili took interest in a man, and as somewhat of an older sister to the little wolf girl, I wished her the best luck, telling Emilio this, "Don't resist too much. When she has orders, Lili always follows them to the letter, no matter how impractical, and even I can't stop her. So don't get into too much trouble while you are gone, you two!" I tacked on that last part because it seemed that from what little I knew about Emlilo and what I knew about Lili, that without my supervision they would get into some kind of trouble if they weren't careful.
After that, I simply remained behind at the table, waiting for the two of them to return while I thought of ways to get to two together more often, as I felt that it would be for the best for all parties involved if they got to know each other better. Lili would be less clingy with me, and the two of them might have a romance blossom and begin to open up, and learn to deal with the isolation that came as a result of being a hybrid.

If Emilio did follow Arwen’s advice and let Lili drag him along, he’d be promptly toted through the kitchens (passing a variety of confused staff) and through a door that lead to an alley behind the restaurant – the werewolf’s original entrance. Regardless of his resistance, her path was clear and her strength was undeniable; so unless he outright threw her off he probably wouldn’t achieve much by just trying to slow her down. The half-elf’s commentary did make her hesitate, but only out of irritation – did Arwen seriously think she was here for some IACSB work or something? Still, the dhampir would be dragged out the door and around the corner – only to be flipped around and shoved against the brick wall; one of the girl’s arms pinning his neck while the other held them both against the wall. Her ears and tail were now revealed, but in turn her inhuman strength kicked in… though Emilio wasn’t earning enough ire for Lili to go all out against him, he’d certainly be able to tell that she meant business by her efforts at just about holding up the significantly taller boy despite their positions and comparative sizes. ”I don’t care who you work for, or why you’re here, or whatever. Just don’t touch Arwen, or I’ll kill you. She’s mine.” warned the girl bluntly, staring the dhampir down – err, well, staring up in order to stare the dhampir down. ”If you bother her, I’ll get angry. And if you touch her, I’ll get really angry. And if you date her – I’ll break you to pieces. So, don’t get in the way.”Seeming satisfied with the straightforward threat, Lili’s grip relaxed slightly; giving Emilio a bit more of a chance to react or reply. ”Oh, and if you lie to me, then you should tell your family about this restaurant soon. They’ll find your body in the dumpster here.” added the half-werewolf, her old ganger habits slipping out – but at a time like this, it just seemed fitting. ”But, otherwise, I don’t care what you do. You don’t smell or sound annoying, so maybe you’re okay.”

Emilio's heals skidded first against the carpet of the restaurant's dining room, then the tile floor of the kitchen as Lili continued to drag him along. Once they came to the back alley, it became increasingly clear that there might be issues between them. Especially once Lili started talking. It became clear to Emilio he needed to feign the same confidence he feigned when in an actual fight or else Lili would probably trample him. That was unpleasant.
Unfortunately, a girl quite a bit below his height attempting to threaten him while staring up at his face was slightly disarming. Emilio found himself unable to do more than just stare down at Lili blankly for several seconds that may have felt like several minutes due to the amount of tension in the air.
When Emilio could finally speak, he had actually found a way to respond he thought . . . well, one that didn't involve trying to figure out how intimidating to let Lili feel. Maybe just talking out the situation and showing that he really wasn't going to put up with this was the right way to go. ". . . Let's clear a few things up." Emilio said, holding up a fist and then extending out fingers as he continued. "1) I have zero interest in Arwen the way you seem to think I have interest in Arwen. She's nice. I'd consider her a friend. That's all. 2) Last I checked, Arwen bumped into me on accident . . . Unless you think she's lying, In which case you're paranoid. 3) Threaten me again and well . . ."
Emilio stepped back quite a ways, pointed his hand at the ground, specifically at a flattened cardboard box that appeared to have seen it's share of rubber soles. "Incinerate!" Emilio cried, igniting the box. "Threaten me again and you're that box. Vampires, werewolves, priests, humans. They all the burn the same, I've found, and I've had to burn all of those before." Emilio walked up and stamped out the box as rapidly as possible, very glad he still had his fireproof boots on. "We can be friends, but if you endanger me, an ally, or someone I'm willing to call a friend, I have no problem with harming you, but that shouldn't be a problem, because I don't have romantic interest in Arwen right?" At least he was showing that if Lili tried to attack him he would and could fight back, though he did just waste 4 mana on what was essentially a show, so maybe that wasn't the best idea in the world.
Emilio, now that he felt like the situation was no longer an issue, slackened a little and the vaguely dazed, nervous look returned to his eyes from before.
"So . . . yeah, Arwen doesn't need to hear anything about this, I guess?" Emilio said before gingerly offering a hand out to Lili in friendship. "You were just doing your job and 'clearing some things up.'"
Emilio paused. "This is normally the part where people do some sort of sly wink, right? I'm not really a people person." Emilio stated, not entirely sure of what to do.

Upon being roughly retaliated against, the would-be werewolf looked a bit baffled for a moment; seeming honestly surprised – admittedly, magic was not really her area of expertise, and the canine within her just wanted to freak out upon seeing the fire… but, she kept her ground. However, rather than seeming irritated by the boy biting back, Lili swiftly seemed to brighten up; giving a satisfied nod – no hint of a smile, but she at least didn’t seem nearly as grumpy anymore. Looking curiously at Emilio, she tilted her head upon being offered a hand. ”I see! You understand! I’m glad, I hate screamers.” remarked the girl, seeming honestly relieved by the enforcer’s response – he wasn’t keen on Arwen, he was smart enough to recognise a threat, and he had just the right demeanour! How exciting! ”Hm, either you’re an ex like me, or maybe the enforcers are more respectable than I thought…” mused Lili, folding her arms with a thoughtful nod before finally addressing the hand still waiting for her response – Emilio would get the expected handshake, although her grip was perhaps a bit too iron given her current supernatural state… well, she was at least professional enough not to throw his hand around or grip too tightly, though. ”I suppose I can drop the disguise now, then. You go back to Arwen.” remarked the hybrid, dismissing the rest of the dhampir’s remarks with an idle wave – she didn’t care. She wouldn’t even wait for the boy to leave before beginning to get changed from her current outfit; throwing aside the waistcoat, tie and cuffs in a hurry – she wanted her usual look again! Even with Arwen’s compliments on the formal dress, she liked her uniform better… and besides, she’d probably only attract more heat if she kept that look up. ”Oh… should I wink now, too…?” added the girl as an afterthought, her head in the clouds for the moment.
