SECOND BAPTISM
"Thou have served, thou have dedicated all your being to Him. Thou struggle with your weakness, with sin, with pain and suffering. For thou effort, for thou faith and dedication, the heavens bless you."
The Apostles have largely been seen as an important and powerful force of the Church. Their innate powers were said to be given to them through being loved by God to some degree. These people are said to be blessed and many of them were so from birth. Nevertheless, their numbers are inferior compared to the overwhelming amount of Clergymen that make up the majority of the Church. As there are those who have obtained their gifts from birth, there are those who have obtained theirs from hard work and dedication to the Faith. Clergymen, upon reaching Knight ranks, are to under go a “second” baptism.
This ritual is to bestow them a permanent blessing from the very angels that serve the Lord. These venerable and holy creatures reward these devout Clergymen with their own sacred blessing. Clergymen may choose which angel’s blessings they may wish to receive. The presence of an archbishop or even a Cardinal is required. Very rarely does the Pope ever perform the ritual as it reveals he may actually have a few favorites himself. Nevertheless, the blessings shall be bestowed upon the new Knight regardless as to who begins the ritual.
Apostles can never go through this ritual as they have already gained a blessing through obtaining their Stigmatas and a Holy Relic to go together with. This “baptism” is reserved for the Clergymen who never had such blessings to begin with. Many Clergymen attain unique forms of a "passive" ability. Many may gain some resistance towards specific attacks while others may empower you in some way. This all depends on what angel you sought for their blessing. These abilities starts from C rank.
