His pale lips curled into an even deeper smile of amusement. This little trio here wanted to know something. The white-haired one among them seemed to be their voice, intriguing. Though it wouldn't do well to discount the other two even if they let their most vocal member to speak for them. He crossed his arms against his chest before continuing, "My, isn't this interesting? Certainly, he would like doing business as you can see with this blessed establishment."
He glanced at the mingling patrons of humans and Mystic Kind. It was a considerable amount given that most Mystic Kind come to this club. The man pensively thought about it for a moment and then looked back at Shaw. He said to him, "Fifteen minutes or not, I believe if your cause is most dire, he would certainly offer as much time you need. I do hope you do have a very important reason to bother him and a splendid deal to offer him, otherwise the consequences may be... unpleasant. Regardless, do follow me, please."
He winked at Padma and then made his way past them to start ascending up the stairs. It was a straight hallway as they would arrive up to the next floor. Doors dotted each side of the wall which brought little doubt that they weren't V.I.P. rooms. In fact there was a little placard on the wall near the stairs saying so. There was at least one formally dressed bouncer standing guard in this space. Tall and imposing, the individual noticed the approaching group and nodded down his head in a bow-like sort of way.
The leading man finally opened a door at the end of the hallway to show a furnished office complete with furniture of luxurious nature. There was even a couch in front of the desk of where an executive would sit. The dark comfy leather seat behind the desk was actually taken by the pale man as he smirked back at them.
"Please, do sit, my guests. I hope you are comfortable. Would you like some refreshments? What kind of poison do you prefer?"
He scooted back his chair to reach down at a mini-refrigerator and a drawer to pull out chilled crystal cups, several bottles of liquor, and two blood packs.
"I've no doubt that you know I'm Luke Welner by now. Though I'm not so sure of yours."

Shaw gave the vampire a charismatic smile, but he took the time to look over to the group and whispered a bit. " Well, this is it. Didn't think that much small talk would of gotten us far but lets make the most of this. Feel free to interject at anytime if you feel like i'm not up to the task. " There was a bit of honesty in Shaw's voice, he has faith in this little group that seemed to gather together in this time of crisis. After that small pep-talk, Shaw continued to follow the vampire, taking full note that there might be something they would have to answer to if this vampire doesn't think that the cause for meeting with him was just. However, it was up to Shaw to read this man throughout the interaction and tread carefully during the conversation. He was extra cautious due to the fact that he didn't have his sword with him, his social skills were his only use to the team fr the time being.
Once they reached the office, Shaw took a good look at Luke Welner. This was the man that they came here to see, but would he talk?" I apologize for the inconvenience, but i don't think that i can accept your generous offer of alcohol at this moment, the matter at hand demands sobriety, and i would rather talk to you with a clear mind. " If his comrades would like to drink, he wouldn't stop the, but he would give them a stern look upon doing so. It was unprofessional to drink on the job, and as fellow martial artists, they should know better on the principles of keeping a clear mind when the situation demands it. However Shaw did take a seat and maintained eye contact with Luke Welner. I will leave the separate choice of introductions and your generosity of drinks to my comrades if they wish, but as for my name, I am Yiaster Shaw. We are currently in search of a man that you might know any information or the location of, Roland Lippert. A magician from the Circle of Metis."
Shaw let those words sink in for a bit before continuing, giving his friends some time to add or interject if they wish. " His forbidden research is on demons, summoning them to this plain without any control of them whatsoever, as they continue to attack and prey on the innocent. But even his control over them is probable, that might be the goal. He must be stopped, and now it's time for me to tell you why this could possibly be a problem for you as well." Shaw made sure to list all the points that might effect Welner's business. "This man is in town, a red-light for your business because his recent troubles brings the church with him, a group of individuals that none of us want here. People that threaten your way of life, and the valuable and loyal customers that attend your club on a weekly, or even a daily basis. The church's high activity in San Francisco can affect revenue, due to the fact that mystic kind would prefer to stay indoors around this time. Also, Lippert's summoning antics could of possibly killed a few potential blood donors. that's a bit hypothetical, but anything that threatens your way of life should be addressed, directly or indirectly. You seem like a blood type b kind of guy, but that's just a guess, unless you don't have standards?"
A bit of small talk to let the tension die down a bit, but perhaps Shaw's explanation would of convinced Welner's reasoning behind helping? Shaw was careful with the information, he didn't reveal the names of his comrades or the affiliation they were from

By this point, Rohan had learned to keep his mouth shut and not talk before the others had a chance too. Even as they were led to "the boss" and Shaw whispered towards them, Rohan did not even deign to respond. He'd probably caused enough trouble interjecting earlier, so his lips remained a tight line, offering no response to the vampire or his companion. It didn't seem like one was particularly needed anyway: Everything seemed to move along just fine with him saying nothing, so it was probably better that way. The only time he decided to open his mouth is when their host inquired of their identities.
Normally, it wouldn't be particularly wise to give a Vampire, particularly one whom has openly told you he might become hostile, your identity. However, at this point refusing to give his identity would only increase the chance of said hostility. And besides, Shaw introduced himself just fine.
"Rohan."
He dimly uttered his name after Shaw introduced himself, purposely omitting his last name. He had no wish for any possible backlash to fall on his family should he say or do something stupid, and there was really no reason to bother including it. Shaw took over the explanation, so once again Rohan decided keeping his mouth shut was probably for the best. He only waved his hand in response to the query about what he would like to drink; Even in his free time he rarely drank alcohol. It was a bad habit he didn't want to fall into, only indulging in small amounts. Usually. He'd learned not only his own state of mind but everyone elses was better off when he didn't get drunk early on.
"Not to mention the last city this guy was in suffered a Demon outbreak, which we have reason to believe was because of him."
The addition was added at the end of Shaw's list of reasons: Honestly it was probably what they should have led with. They'd already revealed he had demon summoning magic, so it's not like they were trying to keep secrets from the Vampire, and there was little Luke could do with the information they hadn't already accounted on doing. Nothing said bad for business like demons pouring out of the air and murdering everyone. Appealing to him in the interests of his club would only get them so far: Appealing to his sense of self-preservation would go a lot further. Vampires tended to love "living" even more than humans.
Well, allegedly. This was Rohans first time ever actually conversing with one.

LUKE WELNER "Hm, fine. Very well then," the vampire shrugged at the decline at his offer. He ripped the top nub of the blood pack open and started to pour it into his glass before throwing the disposable bag into a trash can nearby. Luke sipped his scarlet drink and licked his lips, showing his sharp fangs at his guests. Cool and delicious, there was no doubt as he was of the bloodsucking kind. "If you will, please begin."And so he listened with a cool expression, but his brows furrowed deeply with the mention of the demons, Horrors, and of the Church. Displeasure was clearly plastered on his face and the trio that sat in front of him would start to feel a creeping discomfort climbing up their spines. Oh, he was angry. But he never lashed out it, it was a calm kind of anger that smoldered. Even after both Yiaster and Rohan have finished, Welner stayed silent and cupped his fingers around his chin in deep thought as he looked at each of his visitors carefully. Then he took another sip from his glass to finally start breaking his quiet and that uncomfortable sensation swiftly disappeared as if it were never here. Name: Intimidate Description: An alternative aura in which a Fangs vampire can give off is horror and fear. People may feel dread and caution from such an enemy. Others may actually be too afraid to do anything against such threats. A reason why vampires are to be feared, literally. The Bravery ability directly counteracts against this ability as the same rank can resist against its effects. The same can be done with Mental Strength, but this ability needs to be higher ranked than Intimidate. - E: Most people around you feel slightly uncomfortable by just being near you, but still bearable.
- D: The same kind of people will actually really want to stay away from you for unexplainable reasons to them. The discomfort is rising. This at least disrupts their actions only slightly.
- C: These people are starting to become anxious just from seeing you. All hoping not to meet your gaze at all.
- B: Anxiety where common people are now starting to sweat profusely and would run out at the first chance they get.
- A: Your continued presence is going to cause Average Joe to feel as if he's going insane and it's getting hard to breathe.
- S: Those with not even a solid backbone are going to end up passing out from the fear they are harboring from just meeting this person.
Rank: C "Intriguing. So the culprit of Munich has made his home on San Francisco. Now that surely explains many things to me. However, I wish this information was made public earlier."Welner opened up his drawer and pulled out a newspaper. He threw it over onto the desk where the headline could be clearly seen: "SERIAL KILLER ON THE LOOSE!". Another was set onto the wooden surface with "THREE OFFICERS DEAD!. There were even more newspaper articles with similar huge headlines, but they even covered some Mystic Kind victims as well though most of them were human. There were even some about disappearances of people. "So you must be hired by the Guild. Ah, no need to deny it. Just play along with me, if you will. Though I must admit, I have had some trouble with some unknown individual and I've just commissioned the homeless to find out the killer's identity and now you've all graciously provided me this juicy bit of information."He smiled at them, baring his fangs at them in a toothy pleased grin. "Before I go on, do tell me. What does the Guild want with this Lippert?"

Padma knew she was the farthest thing from good with words and so she’d planned on keeping her mouth shut for the majority of this exchange, especially when the pretty guy turned out to be Luke Welner. In retrospect she probably should have seen that coming. It went with the whole romance novel thing he had going on – dramatic, mysterious entrances and whatnot. This wasn’t her area – not at all. She was fine with illusions, and sneakery, and fistfights, but nothing that required her to sound like she knew what she was doing.
All of a sudden this guy was reminding her of her mother. The feeling he was giving off wasn’t “romance novel” anymore – it was something much darker. Padma unfortunately wasn’t much good at keeping her fear off of her face and so he’d likely already gathered that she was terrified.
A moment later the feeling dulled. She comforted herself further with the knowledge that he really didn’t have any reason to hurt them. He’d been calm and polite so far. If anything he seemed like he was on the edge of offering to give them some assistance, but maybe that was wishful thinking.
“I-I figure we’re just gonna kill him.” She said. “If we don’t, he’ll…well, we don’t really know. So, we have to.”
Urgh. Maybe she shouldn’t have said anything. All at once she regretted it, and yet she kept right on talking. “Can you help us? We’re on the same side. Ish.”

Shaw stopped speaking for a moment and tried to avoid contact with the man. He didn't know what it was, but he had the strangest feeling that Luke Welner was apparently unhappy with the words that they had to say. It wasn't like they were being disrespectful but perhaps it was too much bad new all at once. However, the feeling of uneasiness subsided as soon as the Vampire spoke up once more."....." Shaw, a little startled by the uprising tension earlier, still didn't have much words to say. However he did look over the newspaper that Welner provided him. "Do you think that this is connected somehow?" Shaw would say simply as he looked over all of the headlines, something troubling was starting to occur in san francisco.
Padma spoke up with the details of the mission and Shaw wondered if he should elaborate or not."Since were all out in the open of our true motive, perhaps i should tell you that MR.Lippert did have a run in with the church beforehand. Such sacrilegious practices of summoning demons, and yet he lived, because they let him live. Thats one of the nail biting situations for me, what is a sinners life worth to a member of a church? What did he give up if there was a deal? Some sort of agreement. Killing this man is just as difficult as finding out what he knows if he isn't willing to talk, but the churches actions alone kind of tells me that this is more than just a kill job, if we could help it..." What does the church know? Why did they let this man live? Nothing could be answered if hes just as easily killed. He gave padma and Rohan a confident glance, they must of been feeling uneasy as well, but they were professionals. If he could help it, Shaw tried to encourage the somehow.

"It is strange that the Church let him go..."
Rohan commented, holding a moment before he elaborated. It spoke volumes that the Church had cooperated with him before, which obviously spoke of their involvement in his actions. Unveiling how involved they were exactly could provide the Guild with pertinent information regarding his research and the hand the Church had in it: However, none of that was Rohan's concern.
"But if we find him, our aim is to stop him. Permanently."
There was no point in taking extraordinary risks to learn what he knew. Rohan couldn't do much with that information, nor did he particularly care about it: It was "grand scheme" kind of information and he was dimly aware of how small he was in said grand scheme. The Guild might care to know, but he dimly assumed they already knew everything they wanted to know: Aka a lot more than they were being told. After all, why would they tell them everything? They're the hired help, from the Martial Forest Coalition no less, it makes sense the Guild was only using them as a blunt instrument. Instruments don't need all the facts.
This was basically what he'd expected from the moment he agreed to the task, so being used didn't bother him so much. He was only really using them too, when it came down to it. Favor for a Favor, so to say. He had no interest in these politics and schemes.
"With the articles you've shown us, I trust nobody would mind him being gone."
Very few people appreciated murderers being on the loose, after all.

LUKE WELNER So they wished to eliminate him, or more actually the Guild wanted to. The vampire raised an eyebrow at this and carefully scrutinized their faces for a while. But, he could tell that they were serious. How odd. Though he put that doubt to the back of his mind as Shaw asked about the killings. "I would actually walk in the sun if it weren't, Mr. Shaw," Welner replied flatly and sipped from his glass again. It's too much of a coincidence at this point. With a Horror/demon running around and killing people, it seems to fit in well. To the vampire in the room, it also fit in with a whole a lot of other things. He leaned back in his seat, causing it to even sway back at a more comfortable angle. He sighed and remarked, "Hypocrisy and the Church are always heavily related. It wouldn't be surprising if they were planning to use some of his research for their own goals. Though what I'm surprised about is that the Guild hasn't told you anything yet. Perhaps they're hiding something from you or are they just unaware? Hm. I wonder...""But, very well. I shall offer my assistance. As mentioned before, it would be beneficial to my city if this scourge is eliminated," Luke continued with a grim smile, "There are a few areas where there has been someone setting up an Atelier as the G.H.A. has reported to me. I would suggest you see them in Chinatown and try to get them to share what they know. If you do manage to pinpoint which one Lippert is likely to be at, please relay it back to me. I will send some of my men to provide support and I have no doubt Mister Zhang would even send some of his as well. Here."He procured a piece of paper and a pen. After writing in it, he passed it over towards Shaw. There was an address to what seemed to be a Chinese teahouse and a phone number. "That number is from me. Do remember to give me a call after discussing with Zhang. Oh, that reminds me..."Luke drew up an unused up that were laid aside on the desk's surface and a ceramic cover from the drawer. He had the cup laid in front of their eyes on the desk and had the cover lean against it."If I recall properly, the Coalition's society possess a tendency to practice secret codes and signs to each of their own respective members. I'm sure they're called the Black Words or at least that is one of the names. This one in particular is used to call for the G.H.A."He poured liquor into it and then set it aside. His right pinky stiffened as it raised up while the rest of his fingers remained closed into his palm. The small digit was dipped into the glass and then left behind dots that were smaller than the last."Be sure to order tea with a cover and wait at the shop where most people are likely to see it. If someone comes up to you and does what I've shown you, then the Q&A session begins..." Person A: "Where have you come from?" Person B: "I've come from the East." Person A: "Which road did you take?" Person B: "I have traveled down the middle of the road." Person A: "What have you studied so far?" Person B: "I have ordered my life by the verses of Taoism, the ways of Buddhism, and the courtesy of Confucianism. As for martial arts, I'm studying <insert style>." Person A: "Then what's the name of your teacher?" Person B: "My teacher's name is <insert name>." "I would highly suggest that you make an effort to remember this. Or else they wouldn't listen to you."Taking another piece of paper and also procuring a pen, Luke also handed it over to Shaw to write it down. Just in case if they needed it.
